Hobby Flipper Release 2.0 Portfolio, Flips and Sell Alerts Tutorial

You can't know when to sell your cards if you don't know what you own. This is the full walkthrough of Hobby Flipper's Portfolio, Flips and Sell Alerts — the three features that work together to track your inventory, your plays, and your selling markers.

Paul starts with adding a holding: from the Movements preview sidebar, from a Card Details page, or straight from the Portfolio with Add Holding. He shows why you want to pick the card with the bold player name and the card image (that's the one linked to the Hobby Flipper database, so market value appears immediately), how Add Manually works for cards not yet in the database (Hobby Flipper starts watching eBay for that card and fills in market value after the next sale), and how to enter purchase price, grading fees, shipping and notes so your true cost is tracked. From there: the dashboard stats (total invested, market value, potential profit, holdings), how Sell Alerts work — an email from Paul the night a holding crosses 20% ROI based on market value or a fresh sale — and the row actions: edit details, duplicate, convert grade, mark as sold, and delete.

The middle of the video is the play-by-play: marking a card sold with the sale price, date, sales tax, eBay fees and shipping label copied straight from your eBay order so Flips shows your real net profit; undoing a sale or marking a card unsold; and the raw-to-grade workflow — add the raw card with the PSA grading fee, then Convert Grade to the PSA 10 when it comes back so the market value, potential profit and ROI update and the sell alert fires. He also shows filtering the Portfolio and Flips by player, category, original grade and grade to see how you're doing on specific plays (all your Michael Jordan holdings, or every PSA 9 → BGS 9.5 crossover), the mobile view, and bulk import via CSV: the sample spreadsheet, the exact column formatting it needs, drafts and the review step, and what to expect for market data on imported cards.
